lyrics
To The One
It all fell away as we stood together
Gripless ivy drained from a loving sun
A silent aside from old tired vampires
Our truth did collide to the core
A rest of sorts through every dimension
The tender Angel of song
Sweet soft light made us gaze to the heaven
Our souls returned to the one
And the fool with the camera working his slime
Against an act of mother nature divine
Protecting our moment’s immense loving light
To the field of forevers that shine
A rest of sorts through every dimension
The tender Angel of song
Sweet soft light made us gaze to the heavens
Our souls returned to the one

Martin Stephenson: Picked and slide Dobros, backing vocal
Guillemot Days whisks us to a glistening shoreline, awash with 10 sublime songs full of serene hope. Compelling right from the buoyant opener Edge Of The World and Butterfly overflows with soaring, twangy sunshine. For a fave, so close with the lush vocals, melodic layers of Flowers Of Hope versus Peace And Plenty: an intriguing, modern parlour song both eerie and exquisite, voices and clarinet blending into something quite special. This album is a musical lighthouse on a dark day. Unmissable. anitajoyce
What a tribute, I haven’t the words to say how this group have been the soundtrack to my life, through good and bad.
Anything that helps is the least I can do, missed dearly. Joe Zux
John Drumbo French from Captain Beefheart and The Magic Band worked with Thompson on two albums along with Fred Frith and Henry Kaiser.
Those two French, Frith, Kaiser and Thompson albums led me to this.
Also, Richard Thompson taught Hugh Cornwell (of The Stranglers) how to play the bass guitar in a band when they were both at the same school (Emil and The Detectives?).
With a career spanning 50 years and playing with two of my heroes (French and Cornwell) Thompson has produced a fascinating EP. yellowcakeuf6
