Live @ Glasgow Pavillion 1990
A gem of a release entitled Live @ Glasgow Pavilion
A brilliant gig still talked about to this day, somehow found its way into Martin’s hands after a gig a a few years back.
We do know it was mixed and recorded by our sound man Mr Gerard Rolfe, whose company Coast to Coast hailed from Bradford.
This is the Daintees in effortless swing, “an absolutely brilliant gig” were the words of our mastering engineer Mark Lough last week as he was busy mastering.
The sound quality is outstanding with just one of two authentic crackles.

lyrics
Salutation Road
Tell Belle I got a ticket,
I’m proud I’m getting with it
Tell Belle I got a ticket home
Too many nights get ya bumping and ya grinding
Lord lead me down Salutation Road
Belle, I got the first train home
Salutation Road, I got the first train home
Salutation Road, I got the first train
Too many nights get ya bumping and ya grinding
Lord lead me down Salutation Road
Belle, I got the first train home
Moon-howl home coming hungry
Moon-howl home coming hungry
Moon-howl homeward point me home
Lead me N.E. where the ships are
Lead me North East when the ships are home
Lord, when the ships are home
Tynemouth North Shields!
Salutation Road, I got the first train home
Salutation Road, I got the first train
Too many nights get ya bumping and ya grinding
Lord lead me down Salutation Road
Belle, I got the first train
Tell Belle I got the first train
Tell Belle I…
Got the first train home…

What a tribute, I haven’t the words to say how this group have been the soundtrack to my life, through good and bad.
Anything that helps is the least I can do, missed dearly. drzux
