philipmc1 Loving this new album. Nice work again Martin and the gang! I was lucky enough to see Martin and these musicians perform together at the Moseley Folk and Arts Festival in Birmingham, September 2022. Favorite track: Haunted Highway.

anitajoyce No surprise this latest album is a thing of joy when so many of us first saw this trio delightfully jamming together in a Newcastle Clothes shop. It’s the perfect 10, all tracks effortlessly catchy so just for today my Factory second is Early Morning Drive with the unique ability to transform even the School run into a feeling of freedom. The No 1 spot is The Most Peculiar Man for the storytelling partnership of the lyrics, vocals and sweetest melody. Superb playing all round on this new releas Favorite track: The Most Peculiar Man.

mikegilbey The word and music on Martin’s album supplies me with plenty of “soul feed”. I think it is one of his best and I so enjoy the variety; music styles and mood. Thank you so much Martin and friends.

Early Morning Drive Let me take you on an early morning drive To the place that makes you glad to be alive We’ve got some time to borrow, far from pain and sorrow We’ll watch the sun come up and leave our cares far behind Through many windy roads, head out to a beach Far from the clutching trees way out of reach Follow the south wind’s calling, to watch the north star falling Then we’ll make love to the rhythm of the morning breeze

Come Home Baby Come home baby come Please don’t leave me forlorn Come home baby come Please don’t leave me too long Everything’s peach when you are around My ego gets stroked I feel safe and sound The taste of my tea’s much sweeter and wetter The sound of your voice just makes me feel better Since you’ve been gone I’ve been tossing & turning Sleepless less nights where my heart keeps yearning You said you’d be away for the only one day only But even a days way too long Come home baby come Please don’t leave me forlorn Come home baby come Please don’t leave me too long

I’m Already Gone No need to bother making that bed Feel guilty or hang your head You’ve found your voice and you’ve made the choice See I’m already gone Twas a pleasure being of service to you Good to see that you work things through There’s no doubt and I’ve seen myself out You see I’ve already gone Already gone, down south to a quieter town Already gone, you don’t need me hanging around Already gone, no need to fret about me Already gone, it’s just a case, a case of you being free No need to bother making that bed Feel guilty or hang your head You’ve found your voice and you’ve made the choice See I’m already gone

McFie 03:05
McFie In the deep valley a miner did chip For the purse of his sweetheart, through a pain in his hip He staked the high border then swang till he sobbed Oh McFie lost his sweetheart to the fear of being robbed McFie McFie,you ran out on me My rock my protector oh where must you be? McFie McFie, I’ll never be free Till the song of my ghost brings my man back to me Good intentions were blinded to the perils that sway And he left her in danger all pining away Her hearts hope had faded, and life slipped away When such sweet flowers pass to neglect we must pay McFie McFie,you ran out on me My rock my protector oh where must you be? McFie McFie, I’ll never be free Till the song of my ghost brings my man back to me M. Stephenson Anna Tessier Lavigne Written 22/03/2020 Kingston on Spey.

To The One 02:33
To The One It all fell away as we stood together Gripless ivy drained from a loving sun A silent aside from old tired vampires Our truth did collide to the core A rest of sorts through every dimension The tender Angel of song Sweet soft light made us gaze to the heaven Our souls returned to the one And the fool with the camera working his slime Against an act of mother nature divine Protecting our moment’s immense loving light To the field of forevers that shine A rest of sorts through every dimension The tender Angel of song Sweet soft light made us gaze to the heavens Our souls returned to the one

Blue Child 03:32
Blue Child It was a blue child, a messenger of song A blue child, who dreamt all winter long And the hope that lies within us must be strong Until the blue child comes along The blue child, will often walk alone But how the blue child, can help a soul to grow Though no-one sees the fear they face in life Yet in a constant state of grace you'll always find The bluest of the bluest child

Sweet Lady 02:42
Sweet lady Sweet lady, stay with me Let us wander forever free You’re all in this world that I need And your heart is as pure as can be Sweet lady, you set me at ease For your eyes are so bright and full of peace To have one friend like you, who can teach me the truth I am blessed by your light that’s for sure In your garden I do pray That the lord protect you in every way Sharing music and love, with the bright stars above Yes my heart it smiles for us each day When we sit by the fire and sing away In the days which have been granted free and safe Tiny roof over head, with a warm and cosy bed We are blessed beyond belief each night and day Sweet lady, stay with me Let us wander, forever free You are all in this world that I need And your heart is as pure as can be For my Anna Written on my bench with the Dobro 12:25pm 13/03/2020 Xxxxxxxxxx

The Most Peculiar Man He was the most, peculiar man He knew his heart, he loved his land And if by chance you meet this soul unplanned You’ll know you met the most peculiar man He had no home, nor goods to sell He rarely spoke, no prayers to tell He never took a woman never raised his hand He truly was the most peculiar man He was no great singer, not high class winger No beard like christ, any great height He would never ransack the graceful church of a woman Merely light a candle in her then be on his way He was a most peculiar He was a most peculiar He was a most peculiar man

Haunted Highway On the haunted highway Where the hobos roam On the good Lord's bye way Bye the river of song There's a lost tribe wandering Through the mist they go With their songs and stories See them wandering home Bridge On the haunted highway, time lingers on On the good Lord's bye way, there's a golden dawn On the haunted highway, wild flowers keep To the call of the pilgrim's, eternal sleep
