memeserver I loved the orignal and good albums deserve another go. I reckon Martin is *the* most overlooked of the 1980s roots-pop acts. I like Prefab Spout and Aztec Camera, but the Daintees were a step up again... Favorite track: I can see.

Tim Mee A little part of me wondered why it was necessary to re-record the superb original. While I do think that the omission of the saxophone this time around is a mistake, otherwise the reinterpretations of the songs have been done respectfully and shine new light on some terrific creations ~ which have clearly stood the test of time well. Looking forward to seeing the album toured soon. Favorite track: Wholly humble heart.

Portsian This album was my introduction to MS&D. Loved it from the start, personal yet universal. One song struck a chord we me and my friends. Wholly Humble Heart is still one of my favourite tracks ever. I saw them live so many times, once 4 times in a week, fond fond memories and the music still touches me. Haven’t listened to them in long time and am gutted I missed the Gladsome tour. Favorite track: Wholly humble heart.

GDD The original Gladsome is one of my favourite albums of all time, from any artist ever. I was worried that a re-visit of this album wouldn't move me as much as the original - but, by god, this does. A truly lovely, genuine piece of work with tunes that still get right to my core just as if I was listening to them the first time all those years (and life experiences) ago! Thanks Martin - your music continues to bring joy to the world. G.

Re-recorded especially to celebrate this beautiful album's 30th anniversary
We chose Beetroot Studios in Airdrie and long time engineer Stuart Macleod who guests on guitar..
There is already a national tour booked for the autumn
This is an amazing re-take of what some say The Daintees strongest offering!
Enjoy
