A regular gig for the Daintees in the 80's was London's Town & Country Club in Kentish Town, right in the heart of the Irish community, where audiences would be up to 2000 per night and we would do 2 or 3 shows, promoter Oliver Smith was always being threatened by the Irish mafia for risking the fire & safety through cramming the venue to the hilt, wonderful memories,
I would usually go to the off licence after the soundcheck and buy heaps of hooch and sit with the homeless and put a party of free booze and nibbles, hence apols if my speech seems somewhat slurred
